I think it all came over me today, I think I realized that it wasn't far away. I was close to die last week. -Scary but true. My heart almost stopped beating from the impact of the kick. I also realized that if I wouldn't have been so strong and in such good physical shape when it happened I would probably not have been here today. It makes me once again realize how IMPORTANT training is for us. Our health is the most important thing we have. If we're not healthy and strong our life can be over just like that.... Of course I know terrible things can happen and it can be over even if you are strong and healthy, but you increase the chances to survive if your in good physical shape. I had been training quite alot for a period before heading to the World Championships (and to be honest I think I haven't been in such good shape before.) My cardio vascular capacity was pretty damn good (hehe!), I recovered so quick and felt super strong during my training sessions. I don't think my heart would have made it through this trauma if I wouldn't have taken such good care of it, and trained it to be so strong. TRAINING is important and it feels good that my job is to help people become stronger and healthier. It increases the chances to live a long life.
