I DID IT!! I HAVE COMPLETED CROSSFIT OPEN 2017!! I am so extremely happy right now. I can almost not believe I have done this. For you this might not be a big thing, but for me it is HUGE. The fact that I have been able to train, prepare, perform, recover and COMPLETE all 5 of the Crossfit open workouts feels soooo GOOD! Haha I LOVE the feeling of overcoming things that noone thought you could do. SO many people told me NOT to register to this challenge. So many people told me to STOP during these 5 weeks. Even my body told me to stop (before and after 17.3). But my mind wasn't ready to give up. I wanted to give it a try, the whole way. I am so extremely happy I completed it all. This shows me once again how stubborn I am. My mindset is STRONG and if I have commited to something, I complete it. If I have decided to do something, I don't stop until I am done. (And yes to be completely honest I have been in a lot of pain, more than one time. And this is probably not the first thing I would recommend someone else with a spinal injury to do..But it has been worth it!) 17.5 DONE! I have no idea how far my result will take me, but I really don't care. I entered this competition for FUN. Because I wanted to prove for myself that I could do it. I did it because I miss competing so much... I did it because I wanted to prove and show people wrong. I did it because I wanted to motivate other people. I did it because I want to inspire. I did it because I wanted to show YOU, that if I could do this, YOU can do it too. You might not want to do crossfit... but I am sure there's some challenge out there that you are thinking of taking, but haven't yet...? Am I right? ;) If you really want to do something, DO IT. Don't listen to the people who are doubting. The only one you should listen to is yourself and your heart. Remember that Nothing is impossible. I know I told you I don't really care about the result, but the fact that during these 5 weeks, I have been ranked as number 1 in Australia (scaled) both after 17.2 AND 17.4 , and on top of that, been ranked top 3 in the world ...pretty cool🙈 Let's see what the time 7.33 at 17.5 takes me on the leaderboard.
