Away for the weekend with my family and friends. It's public holiday here in Sweden; the famous "Midsummer". The longest day of the year, before we go towards darker times and winter. Midsummer is the day when the sun never goes down, and it is big celebrations all around the country. The time of the year when swedes get together with their families and friends, just like during christmas.. but totally different. We do eat similar food to christmas-time... Special Swedish food, like: Sweidish Meatballs, "skagenröra" (shrimp/prawn-sallad), smoked salmon, herring, new potatoes, eggs with caviar.... YES: LOTS of delicious food. Everyone's sitting outside in the garden, the girls with dresses and flowers in the hair. Between all the eating we play swedish "Weird" games, dance around the Midsummer Pole (a pole made of wood and flower). Swedish Strawberries with vanilla ice cream and a Strawberry Cake is also a "must" on the table. ---- A day full of fun Traditions together with people you love. Laugh, Happiness and LOVE. ------- I have started a new tradition: TRAINING SESSION. Yesterday I was running a fun partner workout, and it was really successful! I know all the POSITIVE effects training has on us, so I wanted to share it with everyone here. Training has so many positive effects on our bodies. --- Have still a couple of days here on the country side, in my uncles Summer house and I have tried to have some "down time" .... not really one of my strengths but it has gone pretty well. Tomorrow we are going to Kalmar for some sightseeing. What have you done during midsummer?😍
