I'm overwhelmed. My feelings right now is hard to explain. I got invited to be the guest speaker at a big event that was hold at TAFE today. Inspirational women. It was an event leading up into the APES GAMES that are coming up here on the coast in October. APES stands for Australasian Police and Emergency Services. I got invited to be the guest speaker, talking about my overcoming story and my passion to inspire, motivate and help people to live the best life they possibly can. I was talking about my mindset, about NEVER letting anything break you down and never letting anyone tell you what you can or can not do. YOU are the one that knows your body the best. And if YOU believe that you can do something. You will. The doctors told me after my accident that they didn't know if I would be able to walk again. But for me that was not an option. I was willing to fight to get my active life back. I BELIEVED that I could do it. So I did. "BELIEVE in yourself and you will achieve your goals in life." --I was also talking about how important it is to have SUPPORTIVE people around you. People that you trust, people that gives you energy, people you love, people that loves YOU for the one you are, people that are HAPPY for your success. I almost started to cry when saying that I'm forever thankful for what everyone did for me during my tough period, when I had broken my neck. I have said it a million of times, but what my friends, family, healthcare professionals and especially my mum did for me means everything❤️ I wouldn't be here today without them. --- Thank you again TAFE for organizing this, thank you for inviting me, thank you for letting me represent TAFE at this BIG event, thank you for letting me sharing my story, and thank you for ALL the beautiful words I got after my speech. You can just not imagine how much this day means to me!! This is exactly what I want to do. To hear that I'm an inspiration is amazing, overwhelming... Thank you everyone. remember to believe in yourself and follow your DREAMS ❤️ #breakitandyouwillmakeit
