What a day!! So much impressions, informations, knowledge and adrenalin! I'm happy we went, and I could definitely have stayed longer... Time flies when you are having fun! Started with a lecture about our different Energy systems. A bit of revision for us in the Diploma Class, but it is always good to go through it again and hear it all from someone else. We use ATP, Creatine, Lactate and aerobic energy system when we train.Which one we use depends on sport... Time, Endurance and intensity. ATP 0-5secCreatine 5-15 secLactate 15-90secAerobic 2min-........ Forever. They went through what fuel sources we use most efficient for each one, what kind of tests you can do to see your or your athletes physical fitness level... Different tests for each energy system ofcourse. I did the VO2 MAX test.It measured my body's Maximal capacity of oxygen uptake/consumption while exercising, using my aerobic energy system. Test: Warm up on treadmill 5 minutes Mask on my head so all oxygen passing my lungs can be measured in a machine.Heart rate monitor.Height and weight. After warm up the test started. Started at 10km/hour.Every minute they checked my heart rate, asked me how I felt on a scale 6-20... AND increased the speed. When I came up to 15km/hour they put T'mill in incline (uphill).Oh shit that was tough!! I went from 8 on my intensity scale right Up to 16.I could hold it for a couple more minutes but then my legs started to cramp (Lactic acid). But what was worst was my lungs. I could probably have pushed myself a little bit further, but I stopped because I felt that an asthma attack was just around the corner... SO FRUSTRATING! Everyone gave me applause and positive feedback and said I did a great job... BUT if you know me I'm not satisfied. Or well I guess I am, but I am frustrated that the fact that I've got problems with my lungs forced me to stop. Well I can't do anything about it. So what have I told you guys to do when you can't control or affect something? Year right, ACCEPT and keep going. So I'm sitting here on the bus happy, thinking of how COOL it is that I actually did a MAXIMUM test today. Something I really would like to tell the doctor who said I should play chess for the rest of my life and NO other sport. I just love to prove people wrong! Don't let anyone tell you what you can or can not do! You are the one knowing your body✨ #breakitandyouwillmakeit
