I DID IT!!! 1 Year of surfing and I did it!!!!! I challenged myself and pushed myself through it! I have been Overcoming my fears, struggeling with sicknesses and injuries that have come in my way, but I haven't let it STOP me. I decided in the beginning of this year to add the extra course SURFING and Lifesaving... I knew it would be a challenge. But that it would be this HUGE was I not prepared for. I have been close to stop. Cause of everything that has been working against me. BUT would I? NO!? If I have decided to to something I complete it. I have to. I want to. i just DO. I don't want anything or anyone to be able to stop me from doing things in my life. This time I didn't let my FEAR of water stop me. I didn't let the pain in my neck take over. I didn't let The fact that I couldn't swim (freestyle) when I started this course STOP me. I saw it all as a BIG CHALLENGE that would make me stronger after finishing it. And it sure did. It is almost hard to explain how much it has given me... I have learned so much about myself, my fears, my behaviours, my mindset, my struggels, my strong drive, but also about others, about The ocean, about SURFING, competitions, wind, swells, tides, rescue, lifesaving, first aid, SWIMMING, coaching...... the list continues.... I did it. I'm a qualified lifesaver and have my bronze medallion, I have learned how to surf and coach beginners, coach swimming and so much more. I am forever thankful for everything my coaches have taught me and done for me during this year. It can't have been too easy to handle a stubborn high-achiever like me.....Haha!
